Graveside services for Alva Lea `Granny` Green, 72, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with George Brown, minister of the Church of Christ, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died on Tuesday, March 28, 2000, in the Brownfield Hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Lubbock. She married William H. Green on Jan. 16, 1952, in Levelland. He died Feb. 22, 1979. She worked as school guard for Lubbock Police Department for 22 years. She drove for LISD and Durham Transportation for Dunbar-Struggs, Lubbock High School and Coronado students for 14 years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Grace Assembly of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Katy Hutto and Glennda Bailey, both of Lubbock; a sister, Juanita Pruett of Lubbock; a granddaughter; and four stepgrandchildren.
