Alva O. Green, 62 passes away in Winchester
Alva O. Green died tuesday afternoon at 12:40 o'clock at his home, 429 South East St. Winchester
He had been in poor health for the last six years.
The deceased was born in Jay county Dec. 30,1869 the son of Azro and Sarah Neeley Green. He married at Portland Nov 7,1899. He was a former Coal and Grain dealer in Winchester. and member of the five points christian church north of the city.
Survived by wife, Grace Pearl, 1 son Russell Green of Dayton Ohio, eight brothers and sisters. Mrs Stella Banta, Mrs Chester holland, and Frank Green all of Portland. Fred Green, Mrs Harry Moyer and Kenneth Green of Muncie and Winifred Green of Hartford City and Mrs. Arnold Harp of Anderson, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 1 daughter Cora Yoursco who proceeded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted thursday at 2 o'clock at the five points Christian Church with the Rev. Zelma Mills in charge assisted by Rev Leo McKinley internment at the Green Park Cemetery Portland.
The body was taken to the Clark, Maynard and Walker funeral home and will be returned Wednesday to the family home, where friends may call after 2:00 pm
