CAMERON — Services for Dan Green Jr., 76, of Cameron will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at North Orchard Street Church of Christ with Rufus Harden officiating.
Burial will follow in Davilla Cemetery in Davilla.
Mr. Green died Thursday, Sept. 23, in a Temple hospital.
He was born on May 2, 1934, to Dan and Rebecca Mack Green in Milam County. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later worked as a driver for Hill Country. On Aug. 14, 1987, he married Wilmer D. Williams Floyd. He was a member of North Orchard Street Church of Christ; of the Cameron Lions Club; the O.J. Thomas Alumni Association; and the N.A.A.C.P. He also served the city of Cameron as a Councilman for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife of Cameron; two sons, Rufus Floyd of Temple and Ronald Floyd of Cameron; four daughters, Teresa Freeman of Temple, Audrey Floyd of Round Rock, Angela Daniels of Pflugerville and Wynelda Floyd of Cameron; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A family wake will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
