Services for Claremore resident, C. L. "Buck" Green, will be Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Rev. Charlie Lehman will officiate. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 1 until 8 p.m. The family will greet friends 6 until 8 p.m.

C. L. "Buck" was the youngest child of John Loyd and Lucinda Kelley Green who settled in the Sequoyah district northeast of Claremore. He was born March 3, 1927 in Claremore and passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Claremore at the age of 82.

Buck was a life long resident of rural Rogers County where he lived on the home place and enjoyed raising cattle. He was very proud of his Cherokee heritage and was a graduate of Sequoyah High School where his father spent many years as a member of the school board. Buck served in the U. S. Navy and after his honorable discharge, he returned to the ranch. Later Buck drove a Greyhound bus for 31 years. He received many awards for his safe driving record. Buck was a member of the Claremore Elks Lodge.

Buck is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jean Lively, Fannie Keys, Juanita Keys, Dorothy and Ed Wofford, Tom and Billie Green, Hugh and Patsy Green, Mike Green, Dodie and Clay Mayes, Kenneth Davis, Kyle and Linda Davis, Emaloyd Mullanax, and Jack and Glenda Cook.

His parents, six siblings who died in early childhood, brother, Loyd, and sisters, Auldena White, Velma Keys, and Jessie Davis precede him in death.
