Agnes "Peggy" M. Bare, age 77, of North East, MD passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013.
Peggy was born on August 14, 1935 in Liberty Grove, MD to the late Donald and Connie (Jones) Graybeal.
A 1954 graduate of Rising Sun High School, she then worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground and later Thiokol in Elkton, MD. She eventually opened a small business, Cloth Corner, in Elkton. Most recently she retired from Walmart after 18 years of employment.
Peggy was a member of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD. She enjoyed flower gardening, hiking, window shopping, visiting family in Ashe County, NC, and looking for arrowheads on the family farm in Zion.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard E. Bare of North East, MD; son, Jeffrey A. Bare and companion Betty Fryberger of North East, MD; daughter, Karen R. Goglia and husband George of Elkton, MD; brother, Clinton Graybeal of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Virginia Van Sciver of Millsboro, DE; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Bare; and one great grandchild, Nathan Dixon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Graybeal and sister, Emma Carter.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm or one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery in Calvert, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church c/o the funeral home.
