EUNICE GERTRUDE BANDONI

Eunice Bandoni, long time resident of Tranquillity, passed away in Fresno on Saturday evening, January 14, 2006, after a long illness.

Eunice was born in Summerfield, OK on June 8, 1926. she moved from Oklahoma to the San Joaquin Valley at the age of 20 as a young wife and mother. The family settled on the Westside near Cantua Creek. In 1974, Eunice moved to Tranquillity with her husband Joe Bandoni, and remained a resident there until her death.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Eunice showed great compassion for animals and rescued many. She was an accomplished quilter and enjoyed gardening, cooking, board games and reading. Eunice loved spending time with her family. She was ovingly known by her grandchildren as "Mimi".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bandoni; her son John D. Kimbler; her parents Walter and Bessie Gray; and her sister; Bobbie Cooper.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Orff and her husband Ron of Tranquillity; a son, Dean Kimbler and his wife Dianne of Gilroy; her eight granchildren, Terry Toney and her husband Larry of Fresno, Matthew Kimbler and John Kimbler, both of Fresno, Yvonne Cota and her husband Chris of Clovis, Lorie Castro and her husband Dennis of Gilroy, Lea Kimbler of Scottsdale, AZ, Stephanie Waschell of Roy, WA, and Summer Tatro and her husband Gary of Citrus Heights; nine great-grandchildren, Michael Locke, Emily, Alissa, and Tommy Castro, Xzoie, Samantha, Gwendolyn and Veronica Waschell, and Grace and Lily Cota; one sister Marie Jones of Ormond Beach, FL; three brothers, Raymond Gray of Canadian, OK, Booth Dean Gray of Wister, OK, and Eldon Gray of Whitesboro, OK; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Christ located at 14858 West G St. in Kerman on Friday, January 20, 2006, an 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Church of Christ in Kerman at the address above, The Central California SPCA, 103 S. Hughes, Fresno, CA 93706, or the American Cancer Society: 2222 W. Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 92711.
