Allen - Graves

BROOKNEAL, VA., Dec 5 - "Staunton View" was the scene of quite a beautiful home marriage Tuesday at high noon, the contracting parties being Mr. H. C. Allen, of Spring Garden, Va., and Miss Ora Robertson Graves, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. J. H. Graves, of Pittsylvania County, Va.
The best man was Mr. R. C. Allen, son of the groom, and maid of honor, Miss Josephine Graves, sister of the bride. Mendelssohn's wedding march was beautifully rendered by Miss Myra Talbot, of Lynchburg, Va. The ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. J. B. Williams, pastor of the bride, and Dr. M. W. Doggett, pastor of the groom. After a sumpaeous repast, Mr. and Mrs. Allen boarded the southbound train for Charleston. Mr. Allen is a highly esteemed and successful business man near Chatham, Va. Miss Graves is a useful and poplar woman in her community and will be greatly missed by her large circle of friends and acquaintances.
