Anna Belle Graves Derflinger, 72, died at 8:36 PM Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996, in Mulberry Luthreran Home, where she had been a resident since September 1994. Born Aug. 14, 1924, at Morocco, she moved to Mulberry in 1958. She had lived in Lafayette ten years before moving to the Lutheran home. On Sept. 20, 1941, she married Delmer "Duffy" Derflinger, who died April 28, 1984.

Mrs. Derflinger retired in 1984 after working 20 years at Purdue University in the food services department. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two sons, Charles J. Derflinger of Kokomo and Tommy E. Derflinger of Sharpsville; a daughter, Betty Ann (Mrs. Ron) Doyle of Rochester, IN; a brother, Lawson T. Graves of Chicago, IL; a half-sister, Anita Russell of Morocco; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister.
