A native of Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hattie Carroll Graves, wife of the late Lewis William Hagans.
Geneva was a 1947 graduate of Belmont High School and formerly a charter member of Sunset Forest Baptist Church, Springwood, where she taught Sunday school, VBS, sang in the choir and for 25 years played the piano.
She is survived by her daughters Kathy Hargett and husband Ronnie of Indian Trail, Linda Mauney and husband Mike of Belmont, Debbie Hagans of Belmont; grandchildren Bradley Mauney and wife Lisa of CA, Melissa Bess and husband Warren, Heather Hargett and Travis Hargett; great grandson Jordan Bess. She was preceded in death by her sisters Katie Webb, Lillie Rankin, Mary Neal Graves, Dora Lee Graves, Emma Graves; brother Alonzo "Lonnie" Graves.
Funeral:Centerview Baptist Church, where Geneva has been a member since 1989, with Revs. Robbie Moore and Gary Rankin officiating.
Interment:Hillcrest Gardens.
