Calvin C. Graul, Jr. (Big Jim) 79, of North Fourth Street, died Tuesday morning at 4:22 AM in the Community General Hospital, where he had been a patient since Friday. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Betty) (Herzer) Graul. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Calvin and Laura (Bright) Graul. Graul had been employed as an Engineer by the former Reading Brewery for 25 years before retiring in 1973. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Elwood J., Birdsboro R.D. 4, and Herbert W., Sinking Spring. Interment in Laureldale Cemetery. Bean Funeral Home, Inc., Shillington, is in charge of arrangements.
