Arlene C. Grapes
Former South King County resident Arlene C. Grapes died July 7, 2005, at her home in Ellensburg. She was 68.
Born Dec. 17, 1936, in Engelwood, Ore., she married Dee Grapes on Aug. 6, 1960, in Bandon, Ore., and lived in the Maple Valley Heights area for 30 years.
Mrs. Grapes worked in various positions at N.C. Machinery and The Plumbing Joint and retired in 1995 from The Boeing Co. She was a member of the Renton Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Steward; sister, Glenda; and a grandchild. She is survived by her husband; sons James Grapes, of Spokane, and Nathan Grapes, of Newcastle; daughter, Leah Palmer, of Ellensburg; mother, Winnie Lambert, of Ellensburg; brother, Harold Steward, of Medford, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Thursday at Affordable Funeral Care in Ellensburg. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Christian Center in Ellensburg with burial following at High Valley Cemetery in Ellensburg.
