Gloria Bernice Grant Atkinson went to be with God on October 22, 2003. She was born on November 10, 1932 in Spokane, Washington.
Gloria moved to Everett in 1950 where she met and married Bill Atkinson. Bill and Gloria celebrated 50 years of marriage on March 28, 2003.
Gloria was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marysville, and bowled on Wednesday noon league at Strawberry Lanes.
She is survived by her husband Bill; son, William of Marysville; daughters, Wendy Stuller of Marysville, Melanie Sahnow of Anacortes; five grandchildren, Christy Atkinson of Mountlake Terrace, Becca Schreiber of Appleton, Wisconsin, Tony Carter of Mount Vernon, Chad and Tanner Sahnow of Anacortes; six great grandchildren.
She leaves behind her best friend, Marlene Henson of Marysville. She is dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday the 29th of October at 11:00. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Skagit County, or to the American Cancer Society Thrift Store.
