MONTEREY — Funeral services for Dorlie Carr, 72, of Monterey will be held Wednesday, May 25, at 1 pm. in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodcliff Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr died Sunday, May 22, 1994, in Standing Stone Health Care Center.
Born February 16, 1922, in Monterey, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Meda Neal Grant. She was a homemaker.
Her family includes one daughter, Dorothy Jewel Trance of Crossville; two sons, Charles Junior and Clarence Carr, both of Monterey; two sisters, Dorothy Whittaker and Della Smith, both of Cookeville; two brothers, Daniel and Franklin Grant, both of Monterey; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Radio" Carr, and a grandson, Johnny Higdon.
The family will receive friends today at the funeral home.
Rev. Guy Farris will officiate at the services.
