Doris Jeanine Barebo, 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, after an extended illness.
She loved the Lord and was a devout Christian and attended the Church of God.
Mrs. Barebo was born in Soddy-Daisy and lived in Chattanooga, Tullahoma and for the past two years in Hixson. She was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.
Mrs. Barebo worked for TVA in Chattanooga and Normandy, Tenn., before she went to work as a civilian employee for the U.S. Air Force at the Arnold Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma. She was the center's property manager when she retired in 1995.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Danny Pinter officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5-9 p.m.
