Nancy A. Snyder, 68, of Williamsburg died Sat., Feb. 26, 2011 at Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Williamsburg to Chester E. & Helen E. 'Betty' (Gorsuch) Grannas. She married Wayne H. 'Clem' Snyder on April 4, 1964, in Williamsburg. Survived by husband; son, Doug Snyder (wife, Sara) of Camp Hill; grandsons: Andy and Ben; brother, Robert E. Grannas of Hollidaysburg and sister, Margaret 'Peggy' Anderson of Duncansville. Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church, where she served as music director, having directed the adult choir and men's choir, and was a longtime organist.
Formerly employed as a medical secretary for Dr. James Herburg of Altoona and also as a secretary at Grannas Brothers Stone & Asphalt, Hollidaysburg. Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a 1962 graduate of Maryland Medical Secretarial School, Hagerstown, MD, graduating summa cum laude. She enjoyed flower gardening and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC with her family. Bolger Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Interment, Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg.
