She was born to parents Maude Garrison Granger and Arthur Granger.
She had lived 69 years, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Edgerly Church, in Vinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claris Joseph Beard, Sr.; her son, C.J. Beard, Jr. and her parents.
Family members to cherish her memory are, daughters, Annette Arabie and her husband Roy Arabie, Diana Gayle Little and her husband Rev. Gerard Little; sons, Lonnie Beard and his wife Barbara Beard, Rev. Russell Beard and his wife Jeri Beard; sister, Vernia Tortoris; brothers, Lonnie M.
