Mrs. Ellen G. Lawson, aged 51 years, nine months and four days, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. F.E. Erstine, June 23 1944. She was born in Sheridan, IL, in 1892. At the age of 12 she moved to Stuttgart, AR with her parents, where she lived until the time of her passing. She was a member of the Almyra M. E. church. In September, 1924 she was united in marriage to T.R. Lawson of Stuttgart. To this union four children were born; She is survived by her husband, Tommy R. Lawson, and two children, Nellie, aged 11, and Clarence, aged 7. Two other children preceded her in infancy; a father, Louis Grandgeorge, three brothers, Albert, Arthur and Elmer, all of Stuttgart; two sisters, Mrs. F.E. Erstine of Stuttgart and Mrs. August Gunther of Somonauk, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Emma Grandgeorge and one sister, Rose Grandgeorge.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Turpin Funeral Home and burial in Almyra cemetery.
