Ellen Pauline Grandgeorge Folsom, 82, of Stuttgart, widow of Jerry David Folsom, died Tuesday,March 10, 2009, at Crestpark of Stuttgart.
Mrs. Folsom was born March 9, 1927 in Almyra to Arthur and Elsie Brown Grandgeorge. She was employed for 40 years as a telephone operator for GTE and was an active member of First UnitedMethodist Church before her health declined.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Richard Grandgeroge; and her sister, Emma Madeline Derden.
Survivors are two nieces, Wynn Dea Grandgeorge and Dona Bell of Heber Springs; three nephews, Garland Derden and Freddy Derden of Stuttgart and Terry Derden of Boise, Idaho; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Larry Kelso, are 10 a.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to First United Methodist Church, 307 E. Fourth, Stuttgart.
