Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Emma Lu Doney Graham, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2014.

Born May 15, 1928 in Franklin, Idaho to Alvah Cutler and Virginia Wirthlin Doney.

Her family moved to Preston, Idaho, where Emma graduated from Preston High in 1947. She then attended LDS Business College.

Emma Lu married her sweetheart, John P. Graham, Jr., in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1950.

She loved her Father in Heaven and was a faithful, active member in the LDS Church. She served for many years on the Stake Relief Society Board teaching sisters literature and theology.

Mom was a hard worker and learned compassion and charity at a young age. She loved music, writing, and reading. Her family was the main focus in her life and she loved being with them and making holidays and birthdays magical. She tended a beautiful yard and garden and made the best divinity in the world.

Emma Lu will be missed by all who loved her.

Survived by her children, Kim (Roxanne) Graham and Shirleen (Clay) Wiscombe; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Angela Ballingham, Sara Ann Saunders, and Dee Doney. Preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, John; and brother, LeRoy Doney.

Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Murray IHC and Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice in Riverton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Winder Twelfth Ward Chapel, 4350 South 1100 East, Millcreek Township, with a viewing one 1/2 hours prior at 9:30 a.m.
