Military Record: Civil War
--served as Pvt "D" and "C" Co of 10th MO Cavalry from Aug 1862 for 3 years. Shown to be absent without leave from May 7 - Jul 15 1863. Appears on a roll of prisoners of War of company "D" 10 Regiment Missouri Cavalry, Confederate States Army, commanded by Col. Wm. T. Barry. Surrendered at New Orleans, LA, by General F.K. Smith C.S.A. to Major General E.R.S. Canly, U.S.A. May 26 1865 and paroled at Shreveport, LA June 7 1865.
