Obituary--MONDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 30, 1944.----Funeral services will be held tomorrow for George I. Goyette, age 74. who died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alma Kingsley on William Street, Whitehall.
He was born in ??ville. P. Q., Canada, Feb. 13, 1870. son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Goyette.
He went to Whitehall when he was 19 and for 23 years was engineer at the old pumping station. Since 1912 he had been employed as chief marine engineer on boats operating between New York and Canada. He was a member of Notre Dame des Victoire Church, and a member of the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alma Kingsley and Mrs. Bernadette Austin of Whitehall; Miss Leona Goyette of Buffalo; three sons, George, Henry and Ernest Goyette of Syracuse; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Theophilo Boucher of Iberville, P. Q., Canada.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning in Notre Dame des Victoire, with Rev. Joseph Pelletier officiating. Burial will be In Boardman Cemetery.
