Constance Joyce (Gowan) Bishop, 85, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Laurel Baye Health Care.
A native of Greer, daughter of the late William Walter and Myrtle (Hardin) Gowan, she was a retired employee of Greenville County Government and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Clarke Thomas of Greer and Marsha (Tippee) Bishop Allender of Greer; a son, James E. (Winky) Bishop, Jr. of Simpsonville; a brother, William Gowan; nine grandchildren, Amy Vrabel, Jessica T. Major, Aaron Joseph Thomas, Alexandria B. Goff, Cole Allender, Carson R. Allender, Chloe Campbell, Michael Campbell and Christian Bishop; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Arthur Holt.
Visitation was held after the service in the church atrium.
