George was a World War II veteran and served our country as a gunner in the Army Air Force. He retired in 1991 after many years as parts manager at Stephen Chevrolet of Granby.
George is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Lorraine L. (Comeau) Goudreau; his loving children, Denise Matte and her husband James of Chicopee and Donald F. Goudreau of Agawam; six cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Timothy and Joseph Goudreau and Paul, Christopher and P.J. Matte; his cherished great-granddaughter, Hadley Matte; three brothers, Renee Goudreau of Potsdam, NY, Raymond Goudreau and his wife Lorraine of Holyoke and Richard Goudreau of West Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ernest Goudreau.
Funeral services for George will be held Saturday at 9AM from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
