Dona Maud Brower, 72, a former Coffeyville resident, died Saturday morning at Collinsville Manor Nursing Home at Collinsville, Oklahoma, where she had been a patient since March 11.
She was born May 6, 1903 at Vanzant, Missouri to Joseph and Linnie Margaret Elliott Gott. She was reared in the Vanzant area and attended schools there.
On October 9, 1927 she married Otto Brower at Oakley, Kansas. The couple lived in Missouri and California before moving to Coffeyville in 1940. They moved to Collinsville in 1974. Mr. Brower, an employee of Parkersburg Rig and Reel, died February 29.
Mrs. Brower was a member of the Dearing Christian Church. She is survived by a son, John Alter of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Lamar of Collinsville; three brothers, Artie Gott of Neck City, Missouri, Dale Gott of Grand Lake, Oklahoma, and Barney Gott of 1310 W. Fifth; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Brower of 308 W. 12th, and Mrs. Marie Ridenour of Mountian Grove, Missouri; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Ford Funeral Service Edgewood Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
