CHINLE — Funeral services for Marjorie Walker Gorman, 78, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Chinle Trinity Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Chinle.

Gorman died Feb. 23, 2011, in Chinle. She was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Chinle, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Gorman was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing quilts for her church and sewing her own clothes. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She donated her time making frybread for mission groups from California and Florida. She loved all her gandchildren and enjoyed going to church.

Survivors include her son, Charles Begay of Chinle; daughters, Alice Gilbert of Dilcon, Lorene Watson of Tuba City, Rena C. Begay of Chinle; brother, George Walker of Chinle; sister, Elizabeth Roanhorse of Chinle; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Gorman was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Walker; brothers, Albert Walker, James Walker; sons, Edward Begay, Edgar Walker; one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Geron Walker, Rayme Walker, Melvin Etsitty Jr., Sheldon Silent Walker, Kelcey Watson, Delbert Roanhorse.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Trinity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, following services.
