VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Grace Gordon Basnight, 68, formerly of 5429 Steamboat Court, died Friday in a Laurel, Md., hospital. A native of Belhaven, N.C., she was the wife of James Frederick Basnight.
She attended Calvary Temple Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Ann Taylor of Baltimore and Mrs. Linda D. Johnson of Virginia Beach; a son, Cecil Dunn of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Alfie Garrett of Plymouth, N.C., and Mrs. Minnie Wise of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Hilton Gordon of Winter Haven, Fla., Pete Gordon of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carlie Gordon of California; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Lamar Sentell. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at 5429 Steamboat Court, Virginia Beach.
