Alice Lavonne (Gordon) Bareis passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in her home in Marquette, Iowa. She was born April 22, 1933 to Milton and Anna (Boese) Gordon in West Union, IA. She attended Postville High School until she married Eugene Trudo on January 11, 1949 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Clermont, Iowa. This union produced five sons Mike, Mark, Rick, Ronn and Dan. After their divorce Alice united in marriage to Arthur Bareis of Postville, IA on May 12, 1972 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Alice was a devoted wife and mother working to raise five boys and helping with the dairy farm chores, while immaculately dressed for any occasion. Throughout her life she worked as a nurse at the General Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI, aid at Wylusing Academy in Prairie du Chien, WI, and an independent caregiver for home health for over 10 years.
