GOODWIN, Ansel Clair - 100, Carleton Corner, Annapolis Co., passed away Monday, February 5, 2007, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Upper Granville, he was a son of the late Churchill and Verena (Burrell) Goodwin. Clair worked for Nova Scotia Light and Power for over 34 years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas with the Royal Canadian Signal Corps., and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 33, Bridgetown. He was a member of the Gordon Providence United Church. He is survived by sons, Graham (Karen), Summerside, P.E.I.; Alan, Margaretsville, and Robert, Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren, Mark, Scott and Ginney. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Cora Bent; son, Arthur in infancy (a triplet to Alan and Robert); brother, Arleigh; sister, Barbara Dewolfe. No visiting by request. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Gordon Providence United Church with Rev. Marlyne Myles officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Donations in memory may be sent to Gordon Providence United Church.
