Mrs. Lucille Conley was born to the union of Berta and Joe Willie Goodwin. She received her education in Memphis, Tennessee. She married Tommy Conley in 1929 and to this union 13 children were born. The Conley family relocated to Madera, California in 1955. Lucille was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Women's Mission Choir and was a devout member of the Garden Club. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many and will be missed dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters, Berniece Miles of Madera and Berta Mae Morrow of Realto. Her brothers, Herbert and George Goodwin both of Fresno. Her children, AC Conley, Lewis Conley, Leodis Conley, Mildred Spratt, Doris Conley and Lois Garrett all of Madera, Tommy Conley, Jr. of Oakland, Joe Conley and Lucille Conley both of Fresno. Other survivors include 60 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Preceded her in death were her beloved husband Tommy Conley and sisters Irma Goodwin, Mildred Goodwin & Julie Mitchell. Her brothers Joe Goodwin, Herman Goodwin and Curtis Goodwin. Her children Benny Moore, Leon Conley, Henry Conley and Charles Conley.
Visitation at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral Services at the Second Missionary Baptist Church also in Madera. Interment at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
