She was born in Sullivan County, Indiana on Dec. 29, 1923, the daughter of Welker Goodman and Ruth Underwood Goodman.
June was a member of the Morris Chapel Methodist Church, graduated from Pleasantville High School, was a waitress in Connersville, IN, a payroll clerk for General Electric in Linton; she formerly worked as a florist for Marlow's Flower Shop in Linton, a clerk for G C Murphy's Store in Linton, and also the Linton Veterinary Clinic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Everett D. "Burt" Bedwell; by her second husband, Jack J. Hineman; a brother Bill J. Goodman, and a sister Betty Irene Wilson.
Survivors include a daughter, Lana Robertson (Vannie) of Bucktown, IN (Carlisle), two sons, Jon Hineman (Bernice), Joe Hineman (Robin) all of Linton, two step sons, Jeff Hineman (Tina), and Jim Hineman (Kim) all of Midland, IN; six grandchildren, Scott Robertson, Dustin Robertson, Deanna Secrest, Jessica Hineman, Chelsea Hineman, and Joey Hineman, three step grandchildren, A. J. Hineman, Jena and Luke Hineman, eight great grandchildren, Austin and Devyn Robertson, Westin Robertson, Tonya and Courtney Secrest, Zachary, Alexia, and Jesse Hineman, three step great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Frances Goodman of Orlando, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Dan Kemp officiating. Interment in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service Tuesday.
