Mr. Goodman passed away Friday morning, August 20, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in the Flora Community of Hopkins County, on March 24, 1921, the son of Jesse Goodman and Delphia Tubb Goodman. He married Betty Jean Skaggs, in Sulphur Springs. She survives.
Mr. Goodman served in the U.S. Army, during WWII. He was a member of League Street Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Pam Medders and husband, Jimmy, of North Carolina; a son, Chip Sims, of Athens, Louisiana; a grandchild, Elisa Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Breanna Sims, Lauren Cooper, Marshall Cooper, and Cayden Cooper.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Goodman and Clifton Goodman; and two sisters, Edna Pettit and Irma Lee.
Arrangements are entrusted to Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
