Charles Whitten Goode passed away at his home, 701 North Clinton Street, Thursday, January 30, after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Goode, unmarried, was an antique refinisher and well known by all furniture lovers.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at McConnell Chapel at 4 o'clock by Rev. Hughston Peyton, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Interment followed in the City Cemetery, McConnell directing.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Henson, Athens, Mrs. J. W. Park, Ensley, Mrs. Homer A. Hayes, Orlando, Fla.; and five brothers, Arthur Ward Goode and Edward Hazen Goode, Athens, Arvil Davis Goode, Tuscaloosa, Ala., John Carl Goode, Akron, Ohio, and William Hogan Goode, Birmingham, Ala.
