Fayetteville, Tenn. Edgar Stanton Gooch, 78, of the Taft community died Tuesday at a Huntsville, Ala., hospital. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in State Line Cemetery in Madison County, Ala., with Gallant Funeral Home in charge. Elder Howard McAnnally will officiate.
Mr. Gooch was a native of White County, Tenn., and a retired farmer.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Jean and Miss Jo Ann Gooch, both of Madison, Ala., and Mrs. Betty Thomas and Mrs. Billie Fussell, both of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Payne of Toney, Ala., and Mrs. Geneva Stafford of Hazel Green, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
