Joaquina Gonzales Corral was born in Balleza, Chihuahua, Mexico on August 22, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Francisco F. Corral, and two sons, Fidencio Corral and Rafael Corral.
She and her husband raised a total of 10 children. She is survived by her sons, Gabriel Corral and wife Lety, and Gilbert Corral; six daughters, Angela Noe and husband Bob, Lucy Tena and husband Jose, Dolores Blea and husband Anthony, Virginia Tucker and husband Zak, Irma Knopic and husband Michael, and Betty Quarrell and husband Frank. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Corral was the matron of her family. Her love, wit, and concern for all held her family together through good times and bad. She will always remain dear and near the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren, who are her greatest legacy, and by those whose lives she touched.
The funeral mass will be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary, with graveside ceremonies following at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Corral's grandsons; Honorary pallbearers: JJ Reyes and Andy Tucker.
