Carl Freeman Gonterman, 61, of Mount Washington, died Wednesday at Baptist Hospital East. He was a native of Cub Run; a retired line worker for General Electric Co., where he worked for 35 years; an Air Force veteran; and a member of International Union of Electronic Workers Local 761. Survivors: his wife, Laverne Gonterman; sons Tim W. and Todd Gonterman; a sister, Zella Thompson; brothers Nelson and Aubrey Gonterman; and four grandchildren. Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Lone Hill United Baptist Church, 5410 Mount Washington Road. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: Arch L. Heady Okolona, 8519 Preston Highway, noon-9 p.m. Friday and the church after 11 a.m. Saturday. Memorial gifts: Baptist Hospital East Oncology Unit.
