Grace P. Collins, 93, died at her home on October 22, 2012. She was born in Kingston , NH on February 20, 1919, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nellie West Goldthwaite.
Mrs. Collins was formerly of Epping , NH. For the last 78 years Grace has resided in Danvile , NH. She was very active in the community, as a member of the Worldwide Guild Girls, the Missionary Society, the Fire Bells, the Civil Defense committee and the school committee. She was also a 4-H Club instructor, started the lunch program at the Eaton School , and for several years was a supervisor for the Timberlane High School lunch program. She was also an active member of the Danville Baptist Church where she participated in the choir, the Harvest Suppers, and taught Sunday school.
She and Howard owned and operated the Collins Poultry Farm. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. They spent over 60 summers in their camp at Ossipee Lake. Grace enjoyed sewing, snowmobiling, traveling and bowling.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Howard C. Collins of Danville, NH; two daughters, Carol A. Martin of Kingston, NH and her husband Donald of Danville, NH, and Brenda and her husband Frank Kenerson of Danville, NH; one son Norman H. and his wife Trisha Collins of Danville, NH; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister Evelyn Arnold of Raymond, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial followed in the Center Cemetery in Danville . Brewitt Funeral Service, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH is in charge of arrangements
