Disregard my note above because John Rentz has cleared up the mystery for me. Greenwood Cemetery is not a slave cemetery. It is a family cemetery for the Bowie and Davis families. At the Sandy Spring Museum he discovered the interment records that were...(Read more)

This memorial is in error. Achsah Worthington Goldsborough was not buried in a slave cemetery. She came from a prominent white family in Maryland and I believe she was buried in Cambridge, Maryland.
