Sylvia I. Goldman, 83, of West Lafayette, died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at St. Mary Health Care in Lafayette. She was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Chicago, IL., to the late Dr. William Imber and Dorothy Imber, and had lived in West Lafayette since 1953.
Her marriage was to Jerome M. "Jerry" Goldman on Jan. 22, 1949, in Philadelphia, and he survives.
She was a retired secretary and had worked in the mayor's office in West Lafayette, and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association and the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a Red Cross volunteer.
