Opal Jewell Goff, age 84, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away December 25, 2011, at her home. Born in Higden on April 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Pearl (Cullum) Johnson and the youngest of their seven children.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Goff was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her family in their florist business. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Heber Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Clay Goff, and her brothers and sisters, Everett Johnson, Dessie Stone, Lessie Johnson, Jane Tapley Marks, Ervin Johnson, and Coolidge Johnson.

She is survived by her children, Charlene Goff and Tom Goff, both of Heber Springs, and Donnie Gene Goff and his wife Lawana of California; four grandchildren, Donnie James Goff and his wife, Amy, Stacey Ortega, and her husband, John, Kristy Ramirez and her husband, Chris, and Shaylene DeBusk and her husband, Warren; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Alyssa Ramirez, Corey Ramirez, Madison Goff, Caden Goff, McKenzie Ortega, and Addison Ortega. Mrs. Goff is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Lee Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Warren DeBusk, Larry DeBusk, Larry Wayne Johnson, Tilman Roberson, Kendall Roberson, and Gary Xiques will serve as pallbearers.
