PEORIA, IL - Mabel Louise Campbell, 93, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Peoria, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, at Holly Heights Nursing Center in Denver, Colo.
Mabel was born Jan. 1, 1915, in Peoria County, a daughter of Phillip and Mary Rothlisberger Goetze. She married Harold Campbell on Jan. 24, 1946, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1971, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Carroll (Sue) Campbell of Aurora, Colo., and Ken (Gail) Campbell of Argyle, Texas; one granddaughter, Stacey Ford of Round Rock, Texas; two grandsons, Jeremiah and Matt Campbell, both of Grapevine, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice (Conrad) Schwager of Peoria; and one brother, Chester (Thelma) Goetze of Peoria.
Mabel was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where she was a member of the 55 Club.
She and her husband farmed in the Peoria area, and after his death, she worked at Proctor Hospital for 14 years in the cafeteria.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Pastor Mike Shirey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at her church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
