Mrs. Jessie B. Gochenour, 87, of 472 Gwynne street, died in the Champaign county hospital at 8:20 p.m. Monday after seven years of failing health and one week of serious illness.
Mrs. Gochenour was born in Pickaway county on October 9, 1867, she was a daughter of Avel R. and Nancy Grable Yoakum.
Mrs. Gochenour had resided in the Bowlusville area for 25 years and had lived in Urbana for the past 18 years. Her husband, Henry L. Gochenour, died in 1936.
Mrs. Gochenour was a member of Bowlusville EUB church.
Survivors are two sons, Glen and E. R., both of Urbana; one grandson, Stanley Marvin of Springfield; and two great-grandchildren.
Her body was taken to the Don A. Neff funeral home in Urbana where friends may call from Tuesday evening until the time of services, 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Malcolm McDonald, pastor of Urbana Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Dale cemetery.
