Officer Peter Gober, DSN 7970, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 09/28/1970. Upon graduation from the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Departments Academy he was assigned to the 8Th District, the Intelligence Division, Drug Enforcement Agency, Narcotics Section, 8Th District, Personnel Section, and then returned to the 8Th District. During his career he was awarded 12 Letters of Commendation for outstanding police work.

Officer Gober retired from the department on 01/28/1991 with a total of 20.33 years of dedicated service.
PO Gober passed on February 7, 2012 following complications from surgery. PO Gober was last assigned to District 8, but had a long and distinguished career operating in his passion--narcotics enforcement. PO Gober was a highly decorated veteran receiving 12 Chief's Letters of Commendation during his career. Pete was a friend to many and husband to his "rock", Lynn Gober.

As many of you know, God (along with the gift of a new heart through organ donation) gave Pete another 6 years of life here on this earth - although he had many medical obstacles along the way, he was appreciative of every day God gave him to live - God has called him home now.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made through: Kelly Medcalf Plodzien (Sister-in-Law) in order to make a cumulative donation in Pete's name to the Missouri Organization of Organ Donars.
