Vidalia, GA - Mrs. Anna Frances Brandenburg Glover, age 94 of Vidalia, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Princess Ann County, Virginia, and lived there until moving to Vidalia in 1999. She was formerly a receptionist with Dr. Henry Rogers, was employed with Sears, and worked in the home office of Be-lo Grocery, all in Norfolk, Virginia. She was a member of the Eastern Star, attended the First Baptist Church of Vidalia, and was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Norfolk. Her life was about service to others, including devoting her time and energy to missions, volunteering at countless church endeavors, and nursing her husband, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband William Glover; parents, Eva and Fredrick Brandenburg; one brother, Fredrick Brandenburg; and sister, Hazel Wardwell.
Mrs. Glover is survived by two sons, Brandon Glover and wife Jeanine of Pearlington, Mississippi, and Stephen Monroe Glover and wife Ann of Vidalia; a sister-in-law, Donna Cheski Glover of Slidell, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, Keith Glover, Christopher Glover, Susie Glover Palmer, Elizabeth Glover Beasley, Mary Frances Glover Burt, Rebekah Glover Owings, Jennifer Glover Forrester, and Stephen Glover, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye officiating. Interment will follow later in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
