FALLS 25 FEET TO HIS DEATH
Man Dies After Dropping From Roof of House at 216 Green Street
Falling from the roof of his home to the pavement twenty-five feet below while painting a window late Tuesday afternoon, Adam Glick, sixty-seven years old, 216 Green street, died four hours later in the St. Joseph's hospital.
Glick sustained a fractured skull and burises to the left side when he struck the pavement in front of his home. He was knocked unconscious by the blow and remained in that condition until his death at 8 o'clock in the evening.
The ambulance of the City Police Department was summoned when the man was found lying on the pavement, and he was rushed to the hospital. No one witnessed the accident but neighbors discovered him in an unconscious condition a few minutes after he fell from the roof, according to Coroner J. F. Trexler, who investigated.
Glick is said to have been painting the bay window above the second story of his home but was not using a rope or painter's scaffold. He either lost his footing on the roof or suffered a stroke at the time.
He died from a fractured skull and severe shock, according to Dr. Trexler.
