Mrs. Curtis J. Poole wife of the late L. W. Poole and daughter of Harmon and Joanna Gleaton died at her father's home near Sawyerdale May 15th, 1902. She was married to Leander W. Poole, son of Elzy and Donie Poole, Jan. 3rd, 1898, at Springfield. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Lexington County where they resided till the death of the devoted husband Jan. 8th, thus leaving the young wife a widow with two small children. After four months and seven days of separation, her spirit went to join him. The little children, Leila Lupine and Leander Curtis, left orphans at ages of 3 and 1 years, are left to the kindness of relatives. © The Southern Christian Advocate, 29 May 1902
