BLACK, Margaret "Peggy." "I'm really going this time...don't try to stop me!" Margaret "Peggy" Gleason Black, 85, had a keen sense of humor and wasn't afraid to use it. She passed away on June 24, 2012, at home. Peggy and her husband, Bryan, loved to travel together. She was a life-long learner and student of the world. Peggy was born in Homestead, PA, on February 10, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane Mullen Gleason and William Bourke Gleason, and her brothers, Jack and Tom Gleason. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Francis Bryan Black; daughters Barbara Black Pollock, Ellen Lane (Kevin), Maggie Battenberg (Phil), Molly Dowling (John), and Ann Black; grandchildren Tim Pollock (Vicki), Megan Cuthrell (Jordon), Will Dowling, Alex Goellner, Jaye Battenberg, Carolyn Battenberg; great granddaughter Riley Pollock. She also leaves behind her faithful companion and caregiver for many years, Joyce Malone. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 28 at St. James of the Valley Catholic Church, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, OH 45215. The family will receive friends at 1pm at Evergreen and Wellspring Senior Living in Wyoming, OH. She will be buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Coraopolis, PA. No flowers Please.
