Martha C. Glass, age 81, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2011. She was born in San Antonio, TX on August 7, 1929. She grew up in Pearsall, TX and later moved to San Antonio. She attended Baylor University for two years, got married, had a son, lost her husband, raised her son and went back to get her Bachelors of Applied Arts & Science degree at Southwest Texas State University (San Marcos) . She was a member of the Eisenhauer Road Baptist Church. In her last 21 years of life, her most precious thing was her granddaughter, Emalee who she was so proud of and loved very much.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ford Glass, Jr. and parents, Gilbert Cornett & Lillian Smith.
She is survived by her son, John Ford Glass; her granddaughter, Emalee Glass and her sister, Emily Cornett.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Rev. Larry Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
