INJURED IN FALL, AGED WOMAN DIES:
Complications resulting from shock and injuries sustained in a fall at her home on December 1 caused the death in Lee Hospital at 8:15 o'clock last evening of Mrs. Emmaline Frye, 77, of 208 Dibert Street. The hospital record shows Mrs. Frye fell down a flight of steps, her injuries consisting of fractures of the right hip and right elbow.
Mrs. Frye was born in Glasgow, Cambria County, on November 19, 1862, a daughter of James and Elizabeth Rachel (Douglas) Glasgow. Her husband, Jacob E. Frye, preceded her in death on April 18 last. Surviving is one son, Adam J. Frye, with whom she resided at 208 Dibert Street, and three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Wasson, Bechtelsville, Pa., Mrs. C. B. Funk, East Eighth Street, Altoona, and Mrs. Lester Scott, Williamsburg, Pa. There are 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Frye was a sister of Mrs. Caroline Irvin (Irwin), Blandburg, and of James Glasgow, Glasgow. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Stephen J. Conway Funeral Home, Main Street. Rev. G. H. Bricker of St. John's Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will be at Glasgow. (Johnstown Daily Tribune, December 8, 1939)
