Alice Beardshall Glade, age 88, died February 18, 1999 at her home in Provo, Utah.

She was born in Salt Lake City on December 14, 1910. She was the oldest daughter of David L. and Alice Beardshall. She has three sisters and one brother. She went to school in the Salt Lake City area and obtained a two-year normal teaching degree. She taught school in Ammon, Idaho. She married Earl J. Glade Jr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 10, 1934. She is the mother of seven children, a grandmother of 30, a great-grandmother of 24, and a great great-grandmother of one. She raised her children in East Millcreek, Boise, Idaho and Provo, Utah.Alice served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many leadership positions, including Ward and Stake Relief Society President, Primary President, and served a full time mission with her husband in the Florida-Tallahassee Mission.

Alice is survived by her husband, Earl J. Glade Jr.; her children, Joan Glade (Brian) Williams of Boise, ID; Earl Douglas (Sandra) Glade of Boise, ID; D. Steven (Dorene) Glade of Seattle, WA; Carol Glade (Gary) Haroldsen of Portland, OR; Thomas (Sandra) Glade of Ashburn, VA; Kristine Glade (Bob) Hobson of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sisters, Lois (Ora) Jensen, Verna Lee, and Carol (Keith) Karren; and a brother, Lowell Beardshall. A daughter, Kathleen Louise Glade preceded Alice in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 1999 at 12 noon at the LDS Edgemont 6th Ward Chapel, 4000 North 650 East, Provo. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, also on Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
