Early Life: Ralph was born September 26, 1921, in Tallapoosa, Georgia, to Columbus Luther and Amanda Lee Thompson Gladden.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Ralph married Kathryn "Kay" Read on July 8, 1944; they were sealed for time and all eternity July 8, 1985, in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in the United Slates Army from 1940 to 1946. Part of his military service included time in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he and his family lived in Utah, California, Illinois and Indiana. He retired from the United States Steel Corporation in December 1982, while living in Indiana. A year later, they moved back to Utah. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ralph was an active high priest in the Lakeridge 1st Ward. He held various church calling and was most recently serving in one of his most enjoyable callings as the ward high priest temple assignment coordinator. Next to his love of family was his love of fishing. Ralph had the abilitiy to fix anything and everything for everyone who had a need. Ralph Clyde Gladden passed away peacefully due to complications of leukemia on October 10, 2000. He was 79.

Survived By: His wife, Kathryn; their children: H. Don (Gay) Gladden, Sandra Gladden and Ann Johnson; eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
